Trade secrets are the technical know-how. The information which is confidential but may be sold or licensed to another party.
Trade secrets are the information which any person in business should not disclose on how the business is being run. Take example of the Recipe or formula of making any food product.
The only way to protect that information under the Intellectual Property Rights is by keeping it confidential which grants it the Trade Secret Rights.
The reason for keeping that information confidential is to gain a competitive advantage over the market from other similar competitors.
